Your Environment: Your Say Report

YOUR ENVIRONMENT: YOUR SAY REPORT

Earlier this year the Commissioner ran the ‘Your Environment: Your Say’ survey, seeking the views of children and young people under 18 across WA about the environment.

Three key environmental issues emerged from the responses; pollution and littering; recycling and waste reduction; and renewable energy and sustainable practices.

The comprehensive survey empowered Western Australians under the age of 18 to share their thoughts on the environment and how we practice sustainability as a community.

Findings from the ‘Your Environment: Your Say’ report indicate that most children and young people care about their impact on the environment. Many young people are concerned about the lack of sustainable practice that occurs across WA today.
