Commissioner's Update - October 2019

My staff and I have just wrapped up a busy six months visiting schools all over WA for my Speaking Out Survey.

We spoke to over 4,500 students, from as far north as the Kimberley and down to the Great Southern. Students shared their views on a range of important topics such as family, friends, education, culture, as well as being respected and acknowledged.

It was a pleasure to speak to so many children and young people across our state, and to hear about what is going on in their lives. With the surveying now complete, Telethon Kids Institute has started to analyse the vast volume of responses. I am looking forward to sharing some top-line findings soon.
