LGBTI Advisory Committee resources
The Commissioner's 2018 advisory committees focused on raising awareness on the priority issues facing LGBTI children and young people and positive solutions.
Below is a case study and four videos created by the Bunbury Senior High School Advisory Committee and the Perth LGBTI Advisory Committee. These are being used in schools and available to any organisation working with children and young people to help develop inclusive policies and protocols to create safe, inclusive environments for LGBTI children and young people.

These organisations provide support for LGBTI children and young people
Freedom Centre or (08) 9228 0354 - Freedom Centre provides a drop-in space for young people (under 26) who are LGBTI looking to meet other young people, hang out and get peer support and information if they need it.
QLife or 1800 184 527 - QLife provides Australia-wide anonymous, LGBTI peer support and referral for people wanting to talk about a range of issues including sexuality, identity, gender, bodies, feelings or relationships. QLife services are free and include both telephone and webchat support, delivered by trained LGBTI community members across the country.
TransFolk of WA is a support service for all transgender people and their loved ones in Western Australia. The organisation provides accessible safe spaces where members can expect dynamic peer support.
Youth Pride Network is Western Australia's peer-led advocacy body for LGBTIQA+ young people. The YPN is an organisation created by and for LGBTIQA+ young people aimed at using systemic advocacy to create a Western Australia where LGBTIQA+ young people are fully included, accepted and celebrated by their community.
