Welcoming Ms Tracey Ninyette as Commissioner for Children and Young People WA
The office of the Commissioner for Children and Young People WA are delighted to welcome Ms Tracey Ninyette as Commissioner for the next six weeks.
“I am really excited to be in the role of Commissioner for children and young people.”
The Commissioner is currently on secondment from the Department of the Premier and Cabinet, where she holds the role of Executive Director Aboriginal Engagement Directorate which involves working across WA and with other jurisdictions, including the Commonwealth, on the Closing the Gap initiatives.
Ms Ninyette is a Noongar woman with experience in many areas, including the Departments of Planning, Lands & Heritage; the (then) Child Protection & Family Support; Communities and Education. She was, until 2022, a Board Director at Reconciliation WA.
