Belonging Across Borders Report

The Commissioner for Children and Young people is excited to launch her ‘Belonging Across Borders’ Report during Children’s Week 2024.

The report presents findings from the ‘Belonging Across Borders’ survey which took place earlier this year.

More than 576 eligible participants, aged 17 and under, contributed their insights, reflecting on the challenges and highlights of immigrating to and living in Australia.

The report provides invaluable insights on the experiences of Western Australian children and young people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) backgrounds.

The survey findings indicate that government and other social services could support improved integration in the following three areas: language and education, support services and racism and safety.
